Medscribbler Forms & Documents - Lab Results and Tests

With ease of use as the primary concern Medscribbler EMR solves the problem of getting incoming paper results and letters into an electronic form. Laboratory results, tests and other papers can be quickly added to patient`s EMR records with the use of scanning. Certain electronic formats can be directly imported for patient association.

Cost consciousness

Medscribbler is capable of using any scanner and scanner software making it compatible with existing office scanner hardware. Lower cost scanners can be used but it is recommended to have stand alone 5ppm scanner with a feeder, some cost as little as a few hundred dollars.

Multi format import

Many labs and others may already transfer files in an electronic format. Medscribbler EMR will accept rich text files (.rtf), JPEG (.jpg) and PDF (.pdf) files for direct import and patient classification. Almost every other type of file can be converted into one of these common formats with free third party applications.

Work flow friendly

All filing can be done from a computer. Signing of documents is managed from a computer. For sending copies to others: search for a chart, find the paper file and photocopy is replaced by computer look-up and print (or fax).

Lab Interfaces

Recieving lab results from Labcorp and Atlas Labs through an HL7 interface is included for inclusion in a patient record.  Interfacing with other lab companies can be made for a small fee, many lab companies will help in this cost. (communications software must be configured individually)
